H2 minus O™
Stop paying for air.
Installed on the “property” side of the water meter, the H2 minus O ™ valve significantly improves the accuracy of water meter readings by compressing trapped air bubbles in the water line. This ensures the water meter measures only the actual volume of water—not air.
The science behind the H2 minus O™ Air Reduction & Efficiency Valve is grounded in Boyle’s Law (which relates pressure and volume) and Le Chatelier’s Principle (regarding equilibrium and system response). The valve reduces the volume of trapped air in the water line by creating a pressure wave that compresses these gases before they reach the meter chamber.
A compression zone forms upstream—on the utility side—of the water meter. This leads to smoother water flow, minimized vibrations, and more consistent water pressure.
The H2 minus O™ performs two critical functions:
Compressible Flow Valve
Compresses accumulated air in the water line, reducing the air volume prior to passing through the water meter. This ensures more accurate meter readings and can lead to savings of up to 25% on water usage costs.*
*Actual savings vary by valve size, incoming water pressure, and municipal conditions.
Flow Stabilization and Pressure Normalization
Creates a compression zone on the utility side of the meter, which smooths water flow, minimizes turbulence and vibration, and helps maintain consistent downstream water pressure—extending the life of fixtures and improving system efficiency.
* Results vary by size of valve, incoming water pressure and municipal location.
